A year after being ranked as one of the best cities to see holiday lights by USA Today, “Christmas Town U.S.A.” is preparing to invite back regulars to its yearly lights display.

Found simply west of Charlotte, the town of McAdenville transforms every holiday, dating back to 1956.

For the 2020 season, Christmas Town U.S.A. is making several changes indicated to accommodate social distancing. Red, White and Green lights will still illuminate the neighborhood, however there will not be a conventional tree lighting event or parade.

Spokesperson Christy Gliddon talked to WRAL about the most safe way you can take in the lights this season.

The lights officially turn on December 1 and visitors are welcomed between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m. It runs through December 26.
