Do It Yourself Christmas Sweater Vases

MATERIALS:

  • Sweaters
  • Vases
  • Fabric scissors
  • Chunky twisted yarn or twine and big buttons
  • Hydrangeas or poinsettias
  • Hypericum berries
  • Optional:

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Lay the vase down on its side on the sleeve to determine the needed length. Cut with about 2″ excess on each end
  2. With completion of the sleeve at the top, slide the sweatshirt sleeve over the vase and fold the cuff over to complete the leading edge. PRO-TIP: If you are making numerous vases or votives and have actually two frayed ends on the sweatshirt piece, fold the top end inward instead of outward.Add ornamental details if wanted.
